It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Wallace Curry (Norman, Oklahoma), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Willie Wallace had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Willie Wallace may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his wife Narvell P. Curry; his former wife Margaret P. Oxendine; his parent Alma Curry; his mother-in-law Luella Williams; and his sister-in-law Betty Madison.
He is survived by: his children, Willie W. Curry Jr. (Victoria) of Niceville, Florida, Maxine L. Colson of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Wendall C. Curry (Deirdre) of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Lance D. Curry (Umekki) of Washington, D. C.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Oklahoma City Cremation Chapel (807 W Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73116).
