She was predeceased by: her parents, William Vaughan and Margaret Ellen Fox (Bruce); her husband Howard Franklin Armstrong; her great grandchild Elliana Isabel Armstrong; her sister Ellen; and her brother-in-law Howard Harman.

She is survived by: her children, Sue Ellen (Archie Long) of Hamilton and Howard Armstrong, Jr. (Pam) of Coffeyville, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Bradley Kyle Armstrong (Jennifer) of Prosper, Texas, Michelle Armstrong of Coffeyville, Kansas, Matthew Armstrong of Prosper, Texas and Daniel Long (Kaitlin) of Gardner, Kansas.; and her great grandchildren, Alexander and Christopher.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Dewey United Methodist Church or Nowata County Historical Society Museum.
