He was predeceased by: his parent LeeRoy Phillips; and his brother LeRoy Vincent. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Ann Wood; his children, Beau Glen, Jarrett Phillips and Jacey Phillips; his granddaughter Emilia; and his siblings, Ralph Phillips, Gary Phillips and Carey Pearsall. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
