He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Childress and Anna Childress; his children, Gordon Childress (Lori), Jennifer Wade (Bradley) and Harley Childress (Annette); his grandchildren, Emily Wade and Connor Childress; and his brother Bobby Childress.
