With sadness, we share the passing of Benny Ray Meier (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma). Benny, born on April 18, 1943 in Shattuck, Oklahoma, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gottfred and Mary Steinle Meier; his mother Elsie Meier; his cousin Gottfred Jerguson; and his brother-in-law Delbert Daws.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Meier; his sister-in-law Lupe Gonzalez (Elvira Gonzalez) of Corpus Christi, Texas; and his cousins, Darlene Love Shirley Plain, Barbie Bridges and Gary Keller. He is also survived by numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Smith & Kernke Funeral Home (14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (5024 N Grove Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73122).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oklahoma Library for the Blind, 300 NE 18th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73105.
