He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Brown; his grandparents, Lawrence, Sarah Rose, Roger and Loris Brown; his brother Gary; his sister-in-law Bobbie Brown; his niece Jessica Posey; and his nephew Ben Posey.

He is survived by: his wife DeAnn; his children, Mark (Laura) of Mansfield, TX, Greg (Brynn) of Oklahoma City, OK, Katy Sorrell (Rob) of York, SC and Jake (Mary Morgan) of Vestavia Hills, AL.; his grandchildren, Madeleine, Tristan Brown, Charleston and Townes Sorrell; his sister Tammy Posey (Bob); his in-laws, Chuck and Sue Northup; and his sister-in-law Kerri Pianalto (Joey). He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
