We are sad to announce that, on February 20, 2018, at the age of 82, Donald McKee (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), born in Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph and Clement; and his sister Betty Manis. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Williams (Dale) of Oklahoma City, Brent McKee (Tracey) of Laguna Hills, Chad McKee of Edmond, Jenni Smoliak (Brian) of Owasso and Jeff McKee of Lawrence. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Voluntary Service Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, 921 N.E. 13th St. OKC 73104 in the name of Don McKee.

“I met Don in 1941 when my family moved to Shawnee. He lived across the street from my aunt, uncle, and cousins and we began first grade together at Wilson Elementary. He was always a favorite of mine - mostly due to his cute smile! We lost touch for many years after graduation, but reconnected in our late 70's. He still had the cute smile! So sorry to hear of his passing - we were both still working into our 80's. He planned to retire at 82 and I just retired from my part-time jobs. Sorry his plans did not work out. He was dearly loved by many and will be missed. Barbara Lawhon Parker”
