She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Nicholson and DeLois Nicholson; her husband John Wayne Counts Sr.; her siblings, Harold Nicholson, Paul Nicholson, Mary Nicholson Ingram (Pat Ingram) and Shirley Nicholson Carpenter (James Carpenter); and her sister-in-law Judy Nicholson of Greenwood.

She is survived by: her children, Michelle Counts Smith (Rob) of Brookhaven and John Wayne Counts Jr. (Vickie) of Oklahoma City, OK.; her grandchildren, Alexandra (Mason Myers) of Oklahoma City, John-Crawford (Abbey Counts), Maddie Ogden, Nick (Maggie Ogden) and Sophie Smith of Brookhaven; her great grandchildren, Murphy Mae, Millie Kate Myers of Oklahoma City, OK, John-Lawrence Counts of Oklahoma City, OK and Evie Mae of Brookhaven; her brother Marvin Nicholson Jr. of Greenwood; and her sister-in-law Helen Nicholson of Hattiesburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
