He was predeceased by : his parents, Alda Patton and Elbert Lee Patton; his brother Elbert Lee; and his grandson Austin Brook. He is survived by : his wife Fran; his daughters, DeLyn Mattingly and Nancy Convertito (Chris); his granddaughters, Elizabeth Goedde (Aaron), Molly Breitenbach (Alex) and Caroline Marshall (Jake); his great grandchildren, Grace, Reid, Fiona, Romy, Rhett, Mason and Ellie; his brother Ronnie Patton (Nancy); and his brother-in-law Hal Hunsaker (Susie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and very dear friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, or any charity of your choice.
