He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Allen Boyer and Evelyn Juanita Jordan Boyer; his son Glenn R. Boyer Jr.; and his wife Mary Francis Boyer (Douglas). He is survived by: his daughter Candi Boyer (Elyse Hauge) of Oklahoma City; his close friend MaryJo Henley; his sister Donna Cerniglia of Boynton Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Trey and Kelly; his great grandchildren, Emmett and Savannah; his grandchildren, Nicole (Boyer) and Zack Davis; and his great grandchild Harper. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.

His contributions to sports in Oklahoma were recognized in 1989 when he was inducted into the Oklahoma All Sports Hall of Fame.
