He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin McCurley and Vesta McCurley; his former wife Linda McCurley; and his siblings, Lewis, Larry, Bob McCurley, Joyce Bolin, Emma Lois Moore and Barbara Barnett.

He is survived by: his wife Jean McCurley; his sister Glenna Young; his daughters, DeDe Carter (Mark) and Sheri Blake (Geoff); and his stepchildren, Cindy Crawford (Frankie), Penny Meyer (Eric) and Mike Witt (Debbie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren.
