He is survived by: his wife Connie Romo (Garza-Dalton); his brothers, Roger, Henry (Tonya) and Steve Dalton; his children, James Jr., Jessie and Robert; his grandchildren, Kindall Smith, Castor, Jessie and Little Robert Dalton; and his great grandchild Slade Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McNeil's Funeral Service (525 W State Hwy 152, Mustang, OK 73064).
