He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Markey (Brown) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his children, James Peter Markey, Jr. (Pete) of College Station, Mary Susan Whittington (Markey) of Oklahoma City and Michael Patrick Markey of Washington, D. C.; and his brother Edward G. Markey.
