He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd E. Peterson and Ruth A. Peterson (Spacht); his wife Sharon Abbott (Douglas); and his siblings, Reverend Ernest Peterson and Lillian Lewis.
He is survived by : his stepchildren, Jim Abbott (Annetta) of Oklahoma City and Roxann Dean of Holtville, AL; his children, Jim Peterson (Angela) of Indianapolis, IN and Melinda Willsey (Don) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Whitney Shedd (Josh), Lacey Dunn (Ben) of Holtville, AL, Kyle Abbott of McAlester, OK, Katelyn Harbison (Trenton) of Del City, OK, Ivan, Erik Peterson of Indianapolis, IN, Jacqueline Martinez of Greenwood, IN, Emily Gordon of Chicago, IL and Christopher Willsey of Greenwood, IN; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Caroline Shedd of Holtville, AL, Pearson, Calloway Dunn of Holtville, AL and Aubrey Cooley of Greenwood, IN..
