With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Steven Long of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John Steven may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Steven touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Long and John H. Long; and his former wife Judy Long Jenkins. He is survived by: his children, David Long (Tammy), Matt Long, Mindy Hopper (Kevin), Jennifer Long, Carman West (Ryan) and Chris Buckley-Lewis (Billie Long); and his sister Nancy Long (Lori Bishop). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
