He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Keener and Margaret Keener (Mullican); his wife Wanene; his son Roy Keener; his stepmother Lillie Mae Keener; his siblings, Jimmy Keener and Dorinda Ivy; and his brother-in-law Terry Ivy.

He is survived by: his son Dennis Keener (Sandy Keener); his daughter-in-law Janice Keener; his brothers, Joe Keener and Michael Keener; his sister-in-law Kathy Keener; his grandchildren, Nick Keener, Cody Keener, Chase Keener, Kristin Keener and Dusty Keener (Kym Keener); his great grandchildren, Cami, Kati, Taylor, Aidan Hannah, Kaylee, Bentley, Emily and Kennedy; and his great great grandchild Collins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
