He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Z. Light and Helen Swartz Light; his siblings, Robert Allen Light and Joyce Lemons; his son Robert "Bob"; and his daughter-in-law Valicia Neitzel Light.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Chism Light; and his half-brother Wayne.
