He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Strom and Frieda Strom; and his brothers, Jerry and Pete Strom. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Nannette Fischer and Nicoline Strom; his stepdaughter Lisa Lunsford; and his grandchildren, Sophia, Alexander and Trevor.

He was still dancing until Covid ended the performances.
