She was predeceased by: her parents, James Newman and Lona Newman; her husband Bill McCarthy; her sister Floyce Floyd; and her brothers-in-law, James Taylor and Calvin Floyd.
She is survived by: her sister Melba Taylor; her children, Mick McCarthy, Randy McCarthy (Johnna) and Pam Roberts (Greg); her grandchildren, Jade Caldwell (Gavin), Jenna Anderson (Ryan), Carolyn Baker (Brett), James Winchester (Emily), Rebecca George (Stephen), Emily Rogan (Zach), Katie McCarthy and Kevin McCarthy; and her great grandchildren, Grace, Ethan, Levi Caldwell, Ava Anderson, Leighton, Cannyn Baker, Jase, Rylee, Collins Winchester, Landry and Luke Rogan.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary South Colonial Chapel (6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church (9010 S Fairview Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73159).
