He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Hensley and Winona Hensley; his wife Markeeta; his children, Denise Lay, Clarice Landers and Dan Hensley; and his grandchildren, Aleesha Miller, Jody Lay, Clayton Lay, Preston Lay, Caden Landers, Bryson Landers, Carson Hensley and Trevor Hensley. He was also cherished by his four great- grandchildren; and the many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Victory Baptist Church of Yukon (10328 NW 10th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73127).
He was also known for his generous "donations to the tribe" during his visits to the local casinos — a phrase that always brought a smile to those who knew him best.
