He was predeceased by: his father Bobby Thompson; his grandson David Gage Thompson; and his close friend Sadie. He is survived by: his mother Zilpha "Zippy" Thompson; his son Rick Thompson; his brothers, Steve Thompson and Clifford Thompson; and his grandchildren, Ayden Thompson and Ella Thompson.
