He is survived by: his wife Janice Thompson; his daughters, Jennifer Goodrich (Morgan) of Moore and Stephanie Avila (Jose) of Moore; his granddaughter Flora Goodrich; and his siblings, Jack N. Thompson (Virginia) of Richmond, Mary Ann Starks of Bastion, Virginia and Leigh Thompson McVey of Bluefield. He is also survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
