He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Neal and Lettie Mae Sanders Neal; his son Byron Neal Sr.; and his siblings, Obie Neal, Daisy Tate, Calvin Neal, Mary Carter, Juard Neal, Marlou Shaw and Mildred Neal.
He is survived by: his sons, Sam Neal Jr. and Lonnie Neal of Oklahoma City; and his siblings, Della Gaddie of Tampa, Florida, Billy Neal (Dorothy) of Wichita, Kansas, Ricky Neal (Mary) of Arlington, Texas, Myra Patterson of Mansfield, Texas and Carlton Neal (Fancie) of Yukon, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces, and nephews.
