He is survived by: his wife Jenny Broughton; his daughter Jana; his son-in-law Dan Gridley; his daughter Sarah; his son-in-law Joshua Bingaman; his daughter Abbie; his son-in-law Cory Allison; his grandchildren, Hollis, Kanon Gridley, Samuel, Ruth, Josephine Bingaman and Ellis Allison; his brother William T. Broughton, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Susan Broughton. He is also survived by nephews and their families; and many cousins.

Memorial gifts may be made to Mission Dignity, a Southern Baptist ministry that provides assistance to retired SBC workers and their families.
