He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfield Slaven and Thelma Slaven (Day). He is survived by: his wife Clarice; his sons, Sterling (Tina) and Shannon (Amy); his grandchildren, Savannah (Zach), Sawyer, Summer, Sadie, Andrew and Jillian; and his siblings, Roger Slaven (Doris) and Rosetta Troyer (Stan). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
