He was predeceased by: his wife Monta Smith; his parents, Marlin R. Smith and Minnie Smith; and his siblings, Alva Ray Smith, Frances Irene Smith and Pauline Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Suzanne Buskey (Thomas Buskey); and his sibling's children, Sandy Gawlik and Gary Smith.
