She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Garber and Theresa Thompson Garber; her son Bruce "Buzz" Garber Sturgis; and her sister Patti Garber McKay. She is survived by: her daughter Andrea Garber Golgart (Dale Golgart) of Arcadia; and her brother Martin Garber Jr. (Karen Crosslin Garber) of Bartlesville.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Enid High School or the Mansion at Waterford, Oklahoma City, an assisted living center, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
