He is survived by : his wife Janie; his daughters, Abbagale and Amelia; his brother David (Sheila); his stepdaughter Beth Hartai (Akos); and his grandsons, Daniel and Ba'lint.

“I knew Bill Bond from sailing at Windycrest with my father, Charlie Froeb. Bill was always nice to both my Dad and me and he was one of my favorites out there. When I went to Booker T High School the very first year it opened as an integrated school Bill was my English teacher! He was a great teacher and just an overall wonderful person.”
