He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Edward James and Maxine James (Elsey) of Okmulgee; and his siblings, Kenneth James (Sonny) of Broken Arrow, Saundra Justice (Art) of Tulsa and Gayle Womack (John) of Okmulgee.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Inman (SJ) of Claremore and Max James (Carol) of Lynden; and his children, Pamela Sutterfield of Okmulgee, Benjamin James of Tulsa and Brian James (Rhonda Young) of Houston.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked if donations can be made to the Okmulgee Homeless Shelter.
