He was predeceased by : his parents, Hershel Benjamin and Vera Nadine West (Schenider); his wife Tracy West; and his sisters, Faye McKinney and Lavon Guinn.

He is survived by : his niece Trena Coker (John) of Oklahoma; his nephew Jimmy McKenny (Carol); and his great-nephew James of Okmulgee. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
