We announce the death of Jim B. Harjo Jr. of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 79. Jim will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Wind Harjo and Jim B. Harjo; his siblings, Connie Harjo, John James Harjo, Norman Harjo, Duke Harjo and Francis Harjo; and his son Alfred Mason (Tre).
He is survived by: his wife Nettie; his children, Connie Harjo (Sonte Lena), C. J. (Earley) and Terrence (Michelle); his sister Lena Wind; his adoptive son Alfred (Nancy Mason); his grandchildren, Katey Harjo, Sonte James Duke Lena and Yaquine Harjo; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy, Nimsey, Thomasine and Aiden Baker; and his godchildren, Charlie and Laura Mason.
