We announce the death of Larry Jack Catlett of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 78. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Larry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Larry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Larry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Freeman Catlett and Peggy Jane Catlett (Reed); and his sister LaDonna Grammer. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Catlett (Ingram); his daughter Trina Doersom of Okmulgee; his grandchildren, Bryce Catlett of Tulsa, Paige Bohannon (Hut) of North Carolina and Mikayla Doersom-Evans of Pennsylvania; his great grandchildren, Choice Bohannon of North Carolina and Talon Evans of Pennsylvania; and his sisters, Connie (Dewayne McElhannon) of Okmulgee and Rita Pope of Fort Gibson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Life Celebration Center (310 E 6th St, Okmulgee, OK 74447).
