He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Lawson Sr. and Eva Oleta Lawson (Williams); his brother Billy Anthony "Tony" Lawson; and his son Scott Lawson. He is survived by: his children, Sharla McMillin (Brock) of Overbrook and Dillon Lawson (Nicolina) of Rowlett, Texas; his grandchildren, Bronson McMillin, Layne Kinsey, Scarlett Lawson, Viviana Lawson, Domenic Lawson, Dimitri Lawson and Ravella Lawson; his great grandchild Aubry Oldham; and his siblings, Freddy "Don" Lawson (Melinda), Lonnie "Butch" Lawson (Kathy) and Lonna Shorter (Kenneth). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home (100 E Main St, Marietta, OK 73448). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Legate Cemetery.
