He was predeceased by: his parents, John Goodwin and Helen Goodwin; and his daughter Lynn Lee. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Dotson; his son Mark Goodwin (Penny) of Owasso, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Megan Specht (David) of Topeka, Amanda Cadwell (Nate) of Owasso and Wade Goodwin (Tiffany) of Owasso; and his sister Clara Mae Markman (Larry). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (509 S Christy Ave, Sumner, IL 62466). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bernie's honor to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, through the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.
