John S. Mowery Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of John S. Mowery (Owasso, Oklahoma). John, born on December 7, 1935 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel S. Mowery and Hazel Marie Vowell Mowery (Dolly Mowery); and his sisters, Norma Talley, Vera Meredith, Vonda Zimmerman and Melba Burger.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Miller; his son Steve Mowery (Renee' Brad Mowery); his grandchildren, Brooke Clark (Daniel) and Grant Mowery (Ciara); his great grandchildren, Case, Renn, Ryan Clark, Stevie and Cooper Mowery; his stepchildren, Vicki Lawrence (Danny), Darren Overton (Tracy) and Bryan Overton (Anna); his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Lewis (Austin), Kaylee Davis, Ethan Davis (Rachael), Makayla Davis (Joseph), Gretchen, Trevor Overton, Sydney Overton and Logan Dallis (Shelby); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kamden, Kinsley Lewis, Tegan Davis, Taitum, Karter, Abel and Jensen Dallis; and his sister Janet Hill Lois Patton (Ed).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel (9110 N Garnett Rd, Owasso, OK 74055). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (13307 E 96th St N, Owasso, OK 74055).
