With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dixie Lee Short of Park Hill, Oklahoma, born in Millerton, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 80. Though Dixie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommie Jewel Taylor (Kellum) and William Barden Taylor. She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Lovely; her son Mark Collins (Tammy) of Park Hill, OK; and her grandchildren, Lisa Waller (Greg) of Crandall, TX, Kevin Collins (Cortney) of Fort Worth, TX, Brad Collins of Oklahoma City, OK, Tyler Courtwright (Jamie) of Cookson, OK, Chancy Page (Kelly) of Rockwall, TX and Carrie Gray (Cody) of Moore, OK. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 1423 Cemetery Rd, Fort Gibson, OK 74434.
