He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Jr. Howell and Geraldine Howell; his siblings, Robert Michael and Sandy Saulter; his grandparents, Jesse, Harriet Esau Howell, Andy Krow and May Pratt Smith; his aunts and uncles, Wadsworth (Bacon), Joseph Mark, Laura Wolfe, Mildred Johnson, Smith, Bertha Harder, Marcella Lyons, Andy, Hiram, Robert and Harry; and his close friend Gayla Kauwe.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sonny, Esau, Baby Gene, Laura Mae and Ramona Battles of McAlester, Oklahoma.; and his siblings' children, Jesse Burton Howell, Paden, Paxton Moore, Zane, Hayden Howell, William Tyner, Jay Michael Johnson, Stephen BigGoose, Brandon Kanuho, Keesa Rae Howell, Alyssa Jade Howell, Tommie Tyner, Paige Moore and Randi Leigh LeClair-Fuller. He is also survived by cousins, grandchildren, and many 'Indian' brothers and nephews.
A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 810 Beck Dr, Pawnee, OK 74058. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the South Indian Cemetery.
