We are sad to announce that, on March 21, 2023, at the age of 98, Burton Richard Coate of Perkins, Oklahoma, born in Murrayville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. V. Burton and Irene Burton; his wife Margaret Coate (Henderson); his grandson Chris Davis; and his sons-in-law, Patrick McKay and Ray Gazaway.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia, Elaine Coate of Stillwater, Rita Vogt (Jim) of Cushing, Richard Coate (Janice) of Perkins and Cathryn Gazaway of Perkins, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Jami Vogt, Jarrod Vogt, Laura Jenkins (Jason), Amy Coomer (Michael), Darla Baker-Hurst, Aaron Behrenbrinker and Jessica Moye. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
