He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald E. Mills and Alma D. Mills (Meece); his wife Jessie Mills; his daughter-in-law Vicky Mills; his siblings, Fred of Gene, C. V., Dean, Vurgal, Ronnie, Wanda, Dorothy and Wilma; and his son Joie Dale Mills (Vicky).
He is survived by: his children, Chance Mills and Dianna Sue Davis (Jimmy); his grandchildren, John Davis and Sabrina Davis-Leggett; his son Larry Joe Mills (Jackie); his grandchildren, Aaron Mills, Denna, Christie, Jim, Josh and Stoney; his daughter Shelly Ann Beene (Lonnie); his grandchildren, H. E. Sharpton III and Jessica Beene; and his siblings, Bob Mills, Connie Mills and Kathy Stuart. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
