We announce the death of Doris Sims in Ponca City, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Robert Knox and Dorothy Russell Knox-Fairbanks; her husband Roy Don Sims; her stepfather H. E. Fairbanks; her brother Robert Knox; and her stepbrother Maxx Fairbanks.

She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Smith (Lonny Smith) and Jenni Legg (Mark Engleking) of Ponca City; her sister Charlotte Ann Knox Smith of Stillwater; her sister-in-law Linda Knox of Jenks Ok; her grandchildren, Marcy Sober, Libby Long and Austin Legg (Kamree); and her great grandchildren, Blaine Meyer, Tanner, Trevor Goodenough, Coleman Cash, Carter Long, Chancelor "Chance" Confer, Kayde, Kashton, Adilyn Legg, Hadlea, Tyler Legg, Cal Dean Sells, Wesley Logan and Peyton Irving.
