He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otto and Anastacia Otto; his son Troy Otto; and his siblings, Frances Rothgeb and Sherman Otto.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Otto of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Alan (Kathleen), Dale (Claudia), Brian (Carrie), Chad (Bonnie) and Lisa Simmons (Andrew); his grandchildren, Meredith Carson (Robert), Breanne Spaulding (Ben), Matthew, Victoria Brown (Zackary), Christopher, Nicholas (Aleah), Jack, Tanner, Taylor, Ty, Grady and Easton; and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Adalynn, Elleri, Auren and Josephine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A vigil service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel (505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (408 S 8th St, Ponca City, OK 74601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church he loved, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 408 S. 8th St., Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
