He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rudolph Meyer and Lula Mae Meyer (Welch); his uncle Herbert (Lena); his brother Bill; his spouse Bari Smith; his daughters, Dana Syd (Michael Bertino) and Bobbi Rene (Joseph Tripp); his grandchildren, Sydney Anderson (Christian), Ian Bertino (Doris McCamish), Anna Bertino, Kent Nicholas Tripp, James Chisholm Tripp and Rhett Joe Tripp of Blackwell; and his great grandchildren, Ransom, Giles Anderson and Maria Bertino.

A memorial has been established in his honor with the Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112.
