With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Kent Austin of Ponca City, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Austin and Ruby Austin (Richards); his parents-in-law, Frank and Dorothy Midgley; his brother-in-law Cass Midgley; and his pet Izzy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Midgley; his sons, Brett Austin of Ponca City, Ryan Austin of Ponca City and Trevor Austin of Sonora, Texas; his grandchildren, Avery, Tyler, Hunter, Blake and Mason; his brother Richard Austin (Margaret) of El Dorado, Kansas; his aunt Mary Jo Bruce of Peoria, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Hutchason (Reagan), Carol Scott (Rick) and Mindi Midgley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Luke's Youth Group, 1715 E Prospect Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74604.
