He was predeceased by : his sister Pam Shoemake; his grandparents, Ira, Inez Shoemake and Virginia Klingenberg; and his parents-in-law, James and Frances Mordecai.

He is survived by : his parents, Jerry Shoemake and Janice Shoemake (Klingenberg) of Porum, OK; his wife Polly; his son Ethan Shoemake of Porum, OK; his sister Heidi Hughes (Coleman) of Piedmont, OK; his nephew Coleman Hughes of Piedmont, OK; his niece Harper Hughes of Piedmont, OK; and his uncle Mike Klingenberg (Numerous) of Porum, OK.
