He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Leon and Wilma Lorene Hammers (Wynn); his son Jason Hammers; and his sister Evelyn Irene Hammers. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Shannon Hammers, Steven Hammers (Sherryl) and Brooke Collins (Denver); his grandchildren, Tori Smith, Tyler Hammers, Taylor Hammers, Ashbi Hammers, Macey Cripps, Madison Cox, Michael Hammers, Memphis Rein Collins, Caleb Riddles, Jordan Riddles and Chandler Riddles; his great grandchildren, Kaisdon, Easton, Jayke, Jensen, Hudson and Jade; and his siblings, Jerry Herbert (Joe) and Buck Hammers. He is also survived by other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. **Donations may be made to St. Jude's Memorial ID# 11911075 or Pleasant Valley Free Baptist Church c/o 411 Pleasant Valley Road, Poteau, OK 74953.
