Doris L. Oglesby Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris L. Oglesby of Poteau, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter R Oglesby and Geneva Oglesby (Borin); and her siblings, Loma Hodges, Bennie Oglesby, Thomas Oglesby, Dallas Oglesby and Homer Oglesby, Sr..

She is survived by: her siblings, Vertie Oglesby of Rockford, May Oglesby of Kansas City, Missouri and Raymond Oglesby (Aletha) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and her nephews, Homer Oglesby Jr. (Shawna) of Howe and Michael Oglesby (Jana) of Broken Arrow. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
