It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fran McElhaney of Poteau, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Bush and Fannie Bush (Snow); her husband William Merl McElhaney; her siblings, Minnie Brunk, Dorothy Means, Ida Madewell, Jesse, Willis, Jack, Herschell, Charles and Ben; and her grandson Devin Dunkle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alison Teramano (Darryl) and Debbie Dunkle (Brian); her grandson Dustin Riley (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Eden Joy Mapes, Addison and Cameron Coburn; and her sister-in-law Lucy Jean Bush.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler (204 NE F St, Stigler, OK 74462). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McCurtain Assembly of God Church (104 E RR St, McCurtain, OK 74944).
