He is survived by: his wife Nancy Witten of Trenton, MO.; his children, Karen Diefenderfer (David) and David Austerman (Lisa); his grandchildren, Brian Diefenderfer, Phoebe Austerman, Freddie Austerman, Violet Austerman, Alison Krattiger (Paul), Lindsey Snow and Lauren Dodson (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Ellery, Harper, Griffin, Bellamy and Bennett.
