James Dunn Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Dunn (Poteau, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Dunn and Joan McCarty Dunn; his nephew Jay Shadwick; and his brothers-in-law, Brad Randall and Donald Salzwedel.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his daughter Caroline (Alex Barrs) of Ardmore, OK; his sisters, Jackie, Jana Randall of Fort Smith, AR, Janice (Larry Thornton), Phyllis Salzwedel of Muskogee, OK, Kay (Mark Uhlich) and Doris (Arthur King); and his friend Jack Scott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church music ministry or to the Poteau High School marching band.
