He was predeceased by: his parents, Noel Jefferson and Edna Lee Gardner (Turner); his daughter Rachel Jeanne Gardner; and his brother John Paul Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gardner; his son James Lewis Gardner (Juanita) of Pocola, Oklahoma.; his sisters, Martha Lee Miller (Don) of Hideaway, Ann Elaine Braswell of Marbury and Phyllis Gale Gardner of Florida; and his granddaughter Eliana Jeanne Gardner.
